World Book Day

We celebrated with a huge variety of activities including a book treasure hunt, a shelfie quiz, masked readers, and our Sixth Form students kindly organised this year’s £1 book sale, allowing students to use their £1 book token in school. Key Stage 3 students even enjoyed a live virtual event with former Children's Laureate, Michael Morpurgo, whose most notable works include War Horse and Private Peaceful.

Staff also took part in the fun, joining the students in costume as various book characters. 

All of this fun leads on perfectly to the launch of the Readathon charity event, organised by Read for Good, starting next week for Year 7 and Year 8 students.
