On July 24th, Ruby Kirkham represented Nottingham Forest in the national finals of the Premier League Kicks at St. George's Park, competing against some of the most formidable football teams in the UK. This achievement follows her team's undefeated performance in the preliminary rounds earlier this year. Throughout the event, Ruby participated in high-level football matches, with her team, NFFC, facing opponents such as Sheffield United, Burnley, and Manchester City in their group. The day was filled with remarkable experiences, including an impressive 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the knockout stages. Ruby contributed significantly, scoring several goals, and providing key assists. Her outstanding performance was even featured on the Premier League's official Instagram account. Congratulations to Ruby and her team on their exceptional performance. We are incredibly proud of you! #HPA #PremierLeague #premierleague #nottinghamforest #nottinghamforestfc

Yesterday, in a Hall Park Academy first, Mrs Birkett hosted The Masked Singer - Teacher Edition. It saw a group of brave teachers perform karaoke classics to a full theatre of students whilst disguising their identity. After hearing them sing, the audience shouted their guesses followed by drum roll grand reveals to centre stage. With a very close result, Erewash guessed the most teachers correctly and came out as winners. More importantly, everyone involved had a lot of fun! As the event was such a resounding success, we are sure it will make a return next year with a new recruit of staff volunteers. The money raised from the event will be going towards Lawrence House and their chosen charity. Thank you to everyone involved. Whether you bought a ticket or performed in the show, you have helped raise money for a great cause.
