Students will study a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport which will be delivered at Hall Park Academy and delivered by Hall Park staff. An example of some of the modules studied will include: Anatomy and Physiology, Performance Analysis, Fitness Training and Programming, Sports Psychology, Sport Coaching, Technical and Tactical Skills.
Alongside their studies, students will train twice a week and play as part of a competitive league against other Football Development Programmes. Progression from this programme can lead to further education at University, football scholarships in the USA, and employment within the sports industry. For those interested in a career in coaching, Nottingham Forest has teamed up with the University of South Wales to offer a BSc (Hons) in Coaching, Development and Administration, allowing students to access the theoretical knowledge of coaching, whilst experiencing the practical side by being based within a professional football environment.
