What does or did this Governor do for a job?

Following a career within the Probation Service I moved into Education and I now work for a local Sixth Form as the Senior Careers and Learning Mentor. I support students pastorally and offer guidance regarding their post 18 options. My role plays a key part in assisting year 13 students with UCAS applications and year 12 students with the transition to A Levels.

Why did they want to be a Governor at The Hall Park Academy?

I live within the local community and both of my children will attend Hall Park Academy. I want to use my own skills and experiences to help develop new ideas, listen to others views and to provide positive support to all staff, students, and parents. I also have a personal passion for working with children in education and feel honoured to be given the opportunity to share these important school years.
