If you like being with people and enjoy helping others then this could be the course for you.

What will I be doing?

You will learn about what is involved in caring for people of all ages.  Assessment is through written assignments and work placement. Level 2 has assignments and work placement. The Level 3 course requires you to complete assignments and a work placement.

How do I pass the course?

You need good attendance and punctuality throughout the course.  Meeting deadlines as they are set is also vital.

Where will it take me?

You could go straight into a job, for example at a private day nursery, or you could go to university to obtain a degree to work in health and social care, for example social worker, nurse or occupational therapist.

How do I get on the course?

If you have not studied this course before, then you will need to have achieved a minimum of 4 subjects at the equivalent of A*-C at Key Stage 4. For further information talk to your teacher or attend the Post-16 Open Evening.
