Consultation on admissions to Hall Park Academy

I have recently reviewed the Admissions Policy for Hall Park Academy.  I am now undertaking a required period of consultation in order to make some adjustments, in relation to the primary schools named in this document.

From September 2020 it is proposed that the Priory School will no longer be named as a link school.  This does not mean however that parents with children at the Priory cannot apply for a place at Hall Park.  Any applications to the school will be considered as part of the formal application process and students from the Priory will not be disadvantaged by this adjustment.

This document outlines the consultation process and is provided for all interested stakeholders to be informed and have the opportunity to contribute to the consultation.

Please click here to view the proposed policy.

The key timeline of contacts for the consultation are outlined below:

  • Period of consultation: Monday 19th November to Friday 11th January 2019.
  • Proposed effective dates of changes – Admissions for the intake starting Year 7 in September 2020 and any subsequent in-year admissions thereafter.
  • Contact details for comments or to request copies of documentation as part of the consultation: Miss T Plaskitt, PA to the Executive Headteacher,  or Telephone: 01773 786212.

Hall Park Academy wishes to make changes to it’s admissions policy criteria.  The proposed changes can be viewed at our website at where there is a copy of the current Admissions Policy (Admissions Policy 2019/20) and the proposed changes (Admissions Policy 2020/2021).  Should you wish to receive a paper copy of the proposed policy, please contact Miss T Plaskitt using the contact details provided above.

In line with the legal requirements of the consultations, copies of the document are being published to:

  • Parents of students aged between two and eighteen years
  • Other people in the relevant area who have an interest in the proposed admissions
  • All other relevant admissions authorities within the relevant area
  • The Local Authority – Nottinghamshire County Council

Many thanks for your continuing support.

Mrs S Dyce

Executive Headteacher
