Is it for me?

If you have a keen interest in business and enjoy finding out how businesses work then this could be the course for you.

What will I be doing?

There are three units in Year 12 and a further three in Year 13.

You will complete modules involving: people at work, starting a small business, marketing, business development, managing and developing people and business finance.

How do I pass the course?

You need good attendance and punctuality throughout the course to pass and improve your skills. Your coursework will be assessed regularly and you will be expected to meet deadlines. In addition you will sit examinations in June of year 12 and year 13.

Where will it take me?

GCE Applied Business A2: you could go straight into a job in the business sector for example, customer services, administration, or you could continue studying business to a higher level.

GCE Applied Business AS: again you could use the AS level as an entry route into work in the business sector.

How do I get on the course?

GCSE Business is not essential but the minimum number of GCSEs at grade C is required. You must also have an interest in the world of business and how businesses are run.
